Bass player, arranger and composer, Gary Nuñez founded the group Plena Libre in 1994 and it has become one of the key Puerto Rican contemporary acts, performing worldwide and earning several Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations along the way. The band gives a dynamic salsa and jazz twist to plena, one of Puerto Rico’s core heritage rhythms.
